ZJSU President Hu Jianmiao met with a four-member-delegation of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and two professors from University of the Pacific, attending the Law Clinic Cooperation Program in ZJSU, on Sep. 21st. By confirming and appreciating this educational mode of law clinic, both parties expressed the desire to strengthen multifaceted cooperation. Experts investigated our School of Law and paid a visit to Zhejiang Higher People's Court that morning.
USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State. One of its major organization units--- Asia Bureau has established a long-term cooperation relationship with our School of Law since 2006 by conducting a series of effective programs. Law Clinic Program is one of them, which was co-managed by University of the Pacific, American University (AU) and Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJSU). Now the program has given full financial supports to four of ZJSU's teachers furthering their degree studies in the USA; five teachers as academic visitors in the USA, and about 30 teachers participating in law education training.
