On May 20th, Zhejiang Gongshang University and Inamori Kazuo (Beijing) Management Consulting Co., Ltd. held a signing and donation ceremony at the Jiaogong Road Campus, along with a symposium for the Inamori Business School. Inamori Kazuo (Beijing) Management Consulting Co., Ltd. organized and contributed a donation of 100 million RMB to co-establish the Inamori Business School with Zhejiang Gongshang University, aiming to promote deep integration of industry, education, and research. Furthermore, additional donations will be made to construct the Inamori Business School building, contributing to the construction of high-level universities and the economic and social development of Zhejiang Province and the nation.

 

Chen Chunlei, Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, Cao Xiuyun, Chairman of Inamori Kazuo (Beijing) Management Consulting Co., Ltd., and Yu Jianxing, Chairman of University Council of Zhejiang Gongshang University, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Zhao Junhao, Vice Chairman of Seiwa Juku (Beijing) Management Consulting Co., Ltd., Song Luhuang, General Manager, Wang Yonggui, President of Zhejiang Gongshang University, Chen Yantai, Vice President, and Li Jun, Vice Chairman of the University Development Committee, were also present. The ceremony was chaired by Wang Yonggui.

 

During the ceremony, Chen Chunlei expressed the concern and support of the Provincial Department of Education for establishing Inamori Business School. He highlighted that Zhejiang Gongshang University, as a university jointly established by the provincial and ministerial governments and included in the province's "Double First-Class 196" project, has always been at the forefront in implementing the integration of industry and education ,exploring new mechanisms for school management. This strong collaboration with Inamori Beijing Management Consulting Co., Ltd. is another powerful measure to cultivate international, practical, and innovative talents. It represents a solid step toward promoting high-quality development in the province and serving the Provincial Party Committee's "Three No.1 Projects". He hopes that this signing will be an opportunity for both parties to excel in integrating science, education, industry, and urban development, and to jointly create a national model institute for the integration of industry and education and the innovation of institutional mechanisms.

 

In his speech, Yu Jianxing stated that through the strong collaboration in education with Inamori Management Consulting Co., Ltd. (Beijing), they aim to study and disseminate the culture of Inamori's business philosophy rooted in Chinese traditional philosophical genes, thereby building a management and operational knowledge system with Chinese characteristics. This initiative will aid in innovating and upgrading talent training systems and practice-oriented academic construction to serve national and local economic and social development. He emphasized the importance of enhancing thinking in the training of business professionals and nurturing strategic business managers with philosophical thinking, which will rejuvenate historical ambiance, drive academic progress, and contribute to exploring new mechanisms, forming new models, and innovating higher education reforms, thus promoting the renewal of business civilization and the global dissemination and promotion of culture.

 

President Wang Yonggui, mentioned that the ZJSU focuses on business to create a distinctive and well-known business school model, cultivating high-quality management personnel with a global outlook and a sense of social responsibility, to make greater contributions to society. The goal is to deeply integrate industry, education and research to build a new pinnacle for business talent training in China.

 

According to the agreement, Inamori Management Consulting Co., Ltd. (Beijing) will organize and implement fundraising for the cooperative venture, establishing a "5C" talent training model. This involves setting up the interdisciplinary "Inamori Elite Class," recruiting minors and full-time undergraduates from the entire university, establishing a continuous talent training system from bachelor's to doctoral levels, and creating a new global height for Inamori's business culture education. To support this cooperation, both parties will engage in deep collaboration on key issues such as faculty team building, talent training systems, scientific research, and community service.

At the event, Zhang Dejun, President of the Eastern Publishing House, donated a collection of books to Zhejiang Gongshang University and proposed some measures regarding establishing regulations, setting up school districts, forming elite classes, strengthening the construction of talent teams, expanding the impact of scientific research, and enhancing international exchanges.

 

Before the meeting, representatives from over 20 companies visited the Zhejiang Merchants Museum and the Octagonal Building at the Jiaogong Road campus to learn about the history of Zhejiang Gongshang University and discuss collaboration in industry, education, and research.
