On the afternoon of March 28th , Hori Kiyoshi, Vice President of J. F. Oberlin University, and Qiurui Yin, Admission Officer of the university visited ZJSU. Yantai Chen, Vice President of ZJSU met the guests, and the head of the International Office and the School of Oriental Languages and Philosophy also attended the meeting.
On behalf of ZJSU, Vice President Chen welcomed the visit of Hori Kiyoshi and introduced briefly the history, operation of ZJSU as well as the history and achievements of international cooperation and exchanges between the two universities. He said that the two universities have much in common in the objective and characteristics of operation, and hoped the two sides to enhance practical cooperation and exchanges in business management, computer science, artificial intelligence, environmental science and food engineering while promoting cooperation in Japanese and Japanese culture.
Vice President Hori Kiyoshi also gave an introduction of the history and basic information of J. F. Oberlin University. He pointed out that the university was initially established in Beijing and had close connection with China. He wished to take this opportunity to deepen mutual cooperation in teacher and student exchanges, talent cultivation and scientific research.
Whereafter, Hori Kiyoshi had a campus tour and a meeting with students and teachers of School of Oriental Languages and Philosophy, sharing some information on studying in J. F. Oberlin University.
J. F. Oberlin University is a private four-year university located in Machida, a suburb of Tokyo. Founded in 1946 by Reverend Yasuzo Shimizu, the university is comprised of a College of Arts and Sciences and five professional colleges, as well as a graduate division. With an enrollment of over 9,000 students, many of them are overseas students. ZJSU signed the cooperative agreement with J. F. Oberlin University in 2012 and up to now, ZJSU has sent around 14 exchange students to this university. President Mitani Takayasu of the J. F. Oberlin University has been to ZJSU to promote cooperation in 2016.
