According to the latest statistics of ESI (Essential Science Indicators) released by Clarivate Analytics, Environment/Ecology Discipline of ZJSU enters the top 1% of ESI global ranking for the first time, becoming the second new ESI discipline this year . Up to now, ZJSU has 4 disciplines in the ESI's top 1% , namely Agricultural Science, Engineering Science, Computer Science and Environment/Ecology with the overall development trend in a good shape.

ESI collects the papers and citation data of SCIE and SSCI published in more than 12,000 academic journals in the past ten years, which is widely representative and has been recognized worldwide. ESI, from the perspective of citation analysis, focuses on 22 disciplines and it carries out statistical analysis on and ranking of countries, research institutions, journals, papers and scientists. It is an important indicator for the evaluation of "Double First-class" construction.

This update of the statistics covers from January 1st , 2011 to June 30th , 2021. The data show that Zhejiang Gongshang University has published 372 papers in  Environment/Ecology in the last decade, with a total of 4758 citations. The total number of papers published of ZJSU is 4220, with a total of 45,097 citations.
