The 5th Food Science Frontier Research Forum-International University Consortium of Food Science and Nutrition was held successfully in Zhejiang Gongshang University. This forum was held online, co-chaired by Mike Morgan, Professor of Leeds University and President of Consortium, and Professor Chen Jianshe, Secretary-general and the Honorary Vice Dean of School of Food Science and Biotechnology. The offline forum was held in the lecture hall of building B in Zhejiang Gongshang University.
Eight world-renowned experts were invited to join in the forum, including Professor David Julian McClements from the University of Massachusetts, United States, Professor Alejandro G. Marangoni from the University of Guelph, Canada, Professor Harjinder Singh from Massey University, New Zealand, Professor Jun Ogawa from Kyoto University, Japan, Professor Rao Pingfan from Zhejiang Gongshang University, Professor Vincenzo Fogliano from Wageningen University, Netherlands, and Professor Anwesha Sarkar from the University of Leeds, UK and Professor Peter Wilde from Quadram Biosciences Research, UK . They delivered theme reports on the frontier research of food science and digestive nutrition, and shared the latest research achievements and progress in food nutrition and human health, food digestion and absorption, food oral processing and other aspects.
More than 1800 people participated in this forum online. The audience actively involved in the interaction through the live broadcast platform. This forum was well received both online and offline.
International University Consortium of Food Science and Nutrition is an academic organization, which is initiated by Zhejiang Gongshang University, together with the University of Leeds, Massey University, Wageningen University, Kyoto University, University of Utrecht, University of Guelph and University of Massachusetts.
