The Delegation of the EU-China Economics & Politics Institute visited ZJSU on December 5th. Chen Shoucan, President of ZJSU, met with the guests, along with the representatives from International Office, Zhejiang Merchants Institute and Zhejiang New Silk Road Joint Business Services Co.Ltd.
At the first beginning, President Chen Shoucan welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the history of ZJSU and the philosophy of running school, namely, specialization, internationalization and synergy. He stated that the two sides should stick to practical and win-win cooperation to implement the intention of cooperation, and together push forward the establishment of creative think tanks and innovation of internationalized talents cultivation patterns so as to cultivate talents with international horizon, passion and high professional skills, improving the reputation and international influence of the both sides.
Cheng Yu Chin, Director of the EU-China Economics & Politics Institute, was in favor of our educational philosophy, and said they would support ZJSU in cooperating with the relevant institutes of EU to deepen talents exchange and explore new patterns of talents cultivation.
The EU-China Economics & Politics Institute is established based on the EU-China Weapon Embargo Research Project (6th July 2010), which is designed to update and analyse the EU’s policy of placing an embargo on weapons sales to China. Its head office is set in Prague – one of the most important European cities, neighboring Charles University. Research rooms were founded on June 6th, 2010 in Brussels and Pristina. Then on January 1st, 2017, Beijing admission office was set up and has carried out the research projects of “getting to know Europe” and “how to understand China”.
