Yamada Masaru, Vice President of Chiba University in Japan, visited ZJSU on December 7th. Li Jun, Deputy Party Secretary of ZJSU, met with the guest, along with the representatives from International Office and School of Oriental Languages and Culture.
Li Jun firstly welcomed Chiba University delegation to ZJSU, and then, he reviewed the cooperation history between the two universities and the recent development in School of Oriental Languages and Culture. He said that a pretty mature cooperation pattern has been established between the two sides and hoped more contribution could be made to promote China-Japan interactions and splendid culture communication.
Yamada delivered high praise to Japanese culture research fruits in ZJSU. He said deeper cooperation would be pushed in fields of academic exchange, collaborative research, students exchange and so on. After the meeting, Yamada and the representatives from School of Oriental Languages and Culture continued the discussion on cooperation in graduate education which was expected to be conducted in next September.
Chiba University, built in 1949, is located in Chiba, Japan. It is a comprehensive Japanese national university with 12 schools, including School of Arts, School of Education, School of Science, School of Engineering and School of Medicine, etc. ZJSU signed the cooperation agreement with Chiba University in May, 2012. Since then continuous and steady communications had been carried out in academic exchange, collaborative research, students exchange.
