On May 9th, Seth Kunin, Vice President of Curtin University, Li Shilin, Director of International Affairs of Curtin University, and Michele Doray, the instructor of Department of English of Curtin University, visited ZJSU. Dai Wenzhan, Vice President of ZJSU met the guests. Tao Ying, Director of the International Office, Jiang Tao, Dean of the School of Statistics and Mathematics and Chai Gaiying, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages along with related staff also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Dai Wenzhan made a brief introduction of ZJSU and reviewed the history of the exchanges between the two universities. Focusing on the dominant disciplines--Statistics and Management of ZJSU, he hoped that the cooperative education project could be implemented in detail via this visit, so as to achieve win-win cooperation between the two sides. In response, Seth Kunin introduced the basic information of Curtin University which is an international university with campuses in Malaysia, Singapore and other places. He hoped to carry out cooperation in joint training of talents with ZJSU to help students better understand and adapt to different culture.
During the visit, the delegation reached an initial intention to cooperate with the International Office, the School of Statistics and Mathematics and the School of Foreign Languages on the joint training of students, the program of English Language Bridging, the short-term exchange of students as well as building “3 +1” cooperative educating model and promoting its process in Statistics.
