The Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe Visited ZJSU

On May 13th, the guests led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe visited ZJSU. Jin Yibin, Party Secretary of ZJSU and Dai Wenzhan, Vice President of ZJSU met the guests. The directors from International Office, School of International Education, School of Law, School of Accounting and Security Office also attended the meeting.

On behalf of ZJSU, Jin extended the warmest welcome to Paul Chikawa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe, and Lovemore Matemera, Counsellor of the Republic of Zimbabwe. He introduced the general history and culture of ZJSU and elaborated on the strategy of international development. Given the long-term friendship between China and Zimbabwe, Jin emphasized that it was our duty to offer the support and care to all international students on their daily life and study. Paul Chikawa first introduced the Republic of Zimbabwe and emphasized that their country attached great importance to education. He also expressed his gratitude to ZJSU for providing their students with favorable study environment and opportunities. The two sides also discussed about the safety management for international students, and explored possible ways of exchanges and cooperation between ZJSU and colleges and universities of Zimbabwe.

At present, there are around 2000 students from Zimbabwe studying in China. 309 of them are in ZJSU, which ranks the top among all colleges and universities in China. This is one of the reasons why the Zimbabwean embassy in China pays high attention to ZJSU and chose ZJSU as its first university to visit.
