Delegation of ZJSU Visited Universities in Brazil and Chile

From August 22th to 28th, led by Vice President Dai Wenhan, delegation of ZJSU, including Directors from International Office, School of Accounting and Financial, School of Information and Electronic Engineering, School of foreign Languages, and Hangzhou College of Commerce visited Universities in Brazil and Chile.

The delegation visited Brazil Paran Western State College, State University of Campinas, University of Saint Paul in Brazil and North Christian University in Chile. During the visit, they expressed interests in students and faculty exchange, joint research and reached priliminary intent on cooperation projects. Once Cooperation Agreement is officially signed, further actions will be conducted.

These four universities attached great importance to the visit of ZJSU delegation. Directors of relevant departments and schools came all the way from branch campus to have a detailed discussion with delegates.

Established in 1966, State University of Campinas is one of the best Universities which equip with strong academic research abilities. It is the second ranked in Brazil and third ranked in North America. With twenty schools, there are 17,500 undergraduates and 19,000 postgraduates. Being one of the three most famous public universities in Brazil, University of Saint Paul has branch campuses in 24 cities in the State of Saint Paul. It has made great achievement in teaching, scientific research and social service. The Brazil Paran Western State College is a public school in the State of Parana and its main majors include hotel management, tourism management, business administration, computer science and technology, nursing and mechanical engineering. North Christian University is a comprehensive institution in Chile. In 2008, NCU and ZJSU signed Agreement of Friendship Relationship. And in May, 23 students came to ZJSU for a three-week exchange.
