On the morning of April 25th, 2012, Vice President Dai Wenzhan had a nice and friendly talk with Emmanuel Lenain, the French Consul General in Shanghai before the opening ceremony of 2012 Hangzhou French Week.
During the talk, Mr. Emmanuel Lenain reviewed the achievements on the French training and China-France cultural exchange since the establishment of
Alliance Française de Hangzhou. He extended his sincere gratitude to the support from Vice President Dai Wenzhan and ZJSU as well as their contributions to the promotion of the French teaching and the educational and cultural exchange between China and France. Meanwhile, on behalf of French government, he felt much honored to award the Chinese Director of Alliance Française de Hangzhou—Mr. Ying Yaping
the“Chevalier of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques” by taking the opportunity of 2012 Hangzhou French-Week opening ceremony.
Mr. Dai emphasized that the Chinese people had very sound and long relationship with French people as France was the first western country to establish diplomatic relations with New China. Since the establishment of Alliance Française de Hangzhou in 2008, ZJSU has continuously provided keen concerns and support for the construction and development of the alliance. The award from the French government this time was not only the honor of Director Ying Yaping but also for ZJSU. ZJSU would continue to give great concern and support for the development of the alliance. Dai also kindly invited Consul General Emmanuel Lenain to visit ZJSU at his convenience.
The officials from International Affairs Office and Alliance Française de Hangzhou of ZJSU also participated this meeting.
