University of Quebec at Chicoutimi Presented ZJSU with a Gift for its 110th Anniversary

Recently, University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, Canada has sent a congratulatory letter toZJSU, and presented the statue of Daniel Tania Qumaluk, a famous sculptor from the Inuit village in the Arctic Circle region of Quebec. The statue, a symbol of Canadian Inuit, named The Guide means bravery. At present, the statue has been collected by the History Museum of Zhejiang Gongshang University.



The University of Quebec is a public university approved by the Ministry of Education of Quebec, Canada in 1968. It is composed of ten branches with independent legal personality, offering bachelor, master and doctoral programs. The University of Quebec is one of the first group of universities in the world to grant a master degree in project management. It is also one of the first three universities in North America to obtain the PMI global professional certification.

Zhejiang Gongshang University cooperated with University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, Canada to offers a project management program (MPM program), which was approved by Office of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in December 2003. In the past 18 years, the program has cultivated more than 1,300 international high-end talents in project management. In 2016, the MPM project was listed as a candidate for pilot Sino-foreign cooperative education in Zhejiang Province. In the same year, University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, Canada won the Silver Award of the 5th CCBC (Canada-China Business Council) Higher Education Excellence Award for its outstanding achievements in the cooperative education.
